About PTA
The Lewis Elementary PTA is a local PTA unit that is linked to the State PTA and National PTA, forming a nationwide network of members making it the largest child advocacy group in the country. Together we are a powerful voice for children.

PTA Mission:
- To be a powerful voice for all children;
- To be a relevant source for families and communities, and
- To be a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.
PTA Purpose:
- To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
- To raise the standards of home life.
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
- To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
- To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
Here at Lewis we are proud of our active PTA. Because of the support we receive, we continue to enhance the education and the lives of all children. With your help, we can continue to work toward PTA's goal of a quality education and nurturing environment for every child.
